In this glorious chapter, you can let your imagination soar to the maximum.  The Voice!  The Voice of God - thunderous yet tender; exceedingly powerful yet beautiful and harmonious.  Chapter 14 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible because of the description on the Voice from heaven!  Enjoy.

The Most Amazing Voice Ever Heard

Have you ever pondered what God’s Voice actually sounds like? The Book of Revelation begins by stating “The Revelation of Jesus Christ. . .” (Revelation 1:1). This implies that the Voice we witness in Chapter 14 is either the voice of Jesus or of The Father.

“And I heard a Voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of loud thunder, and the Voice I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps” (Revelation 14:2)

I have been near the base of huge waterfalls and have heard the ominous sound of crashing water. I have been very close to lightning strikes and have heard the overwhelming crash of thunder – an un-nerving experience. I have also been in the most grand and beautiful concert halls to hear harpists play. What a delightful sound can be produced by that instrument!  (One of the miracles of heaven is to have several harps playing together in perfect tune!!!)

I can imagine each of these experiences as independent sounds: Waterfalls. . . thunder. . . harps. What I cannot imagine yet, is all three of these sounds combined into One Voice. A Voice that is simultaneously exceedingly powerful yet stunningly beautiful; magnificent and ominous yet peacefully harmonious; commanding yet quietly attractive; majestic yet delightful.

One of my greatest passions is to hear this Voice in person. And I will. So will you.

                              PROGRESS REPORT
